Replace a Failed Drive

  1. Log into the system
  2. Log into SST as QSECOFR
  3. Select option 1. Start a service tool
  4. Select option 7. Hardware service manager
  5. Select option 6.  Work with service action log
  6. Select date range or enter *
  1. Locate the error and enter a 2 next to it to view it

  2. Select option 7 to turn the light off, just to make sure you have the right drive. (You can repeat this process as necessary to make sure you have the right drive)

  1. Go back into the screens (it will kick you out to the action log date screen). Perform concurrent maintenance again and select option 2 to install the drive. (wait until the drive lights up or fast blinks before installing it — about 3 seconds). Then this screen will appear:

Rebuild the ASP (Disk Units)

  1. Go to the main screen for System Service Tools
  2. Select option 3. Work with disk units
  3. Select option 3. Work with disk unit recovery
  4. Select option 6. Rebuild disk unit data
  5. The drive you installed should show up here with the resource name being the same name that you saw earlier. Select option 1 rebuild

NOTE: Notice here how the Resource Name shows as DMP126 but in the action log it showed as DMP125. This is the other name for the resource that I highlighted earlier
